This volcano shaped mound was caused by erosion from wind and rain. It is ove r 270 million years old and is surrounded by the imposing Amphitheater. It is named after the shape it takes, similar to a big mound of flower or sugar (which you would use to make a loaf of bread!).

The cliff tops are the base of a glacial lake that melted 270 million years ago, leaving boulders and sedimentary deposits. The glacial pavement on the cliff top shows the scrape marks from boulders moved in a glacier.
